...and my little corner of the fancy...

I had always wanted a Chihuahua. However, it never seemed to be right time to make one of these tiny creatures a member of our family. With three boys, our first family dog needed to be able to hold his own. I couldn't subject a Chihuahua to the perils that would likely occur. Now, 20-some years later, my dream has come true and then some.

My search for a Chihuahua led me places I never would have dreamed of venturing. Not only am I now owned by several of these awesome creatures, but I am also happily participating in the world of showing dogs. Show dog people call that world 'The Fancy'.

While learning the ropes of owning a Chihuahua and everything involved with showing dogs, I decided that I would keep a journal. So, here is the journal, and much more.

Along with my story "Diary of a Novice" there is a lot of additional information you may find helpful. I try to update as often as I can so please visit often.
