A Little Bit About Show Biz

Hi! My name is Dawn Lundin. I am located in Fredericksburg, Virginia, the most historic city in the United States. Fredericksburg is halfway between Washington, DC and Richmond, the capitol of Virginia. If you are not familiar with the area you will find that it is not only a nice place to visit, but also a beautiful place to live.

Show Biz is the kennel name that I have picked out in the event that I decide to breed Chihuahuas. My original intent was not to actually breed or show Chihuahuas but to simply own one to love and cherish as should be with all pets. My decision to show Chihuahuas stems from wanting to learn as much about the breed as I could and to try and make some little contribution to the well-being of the Chihuahua standard. I'm one of those people who actually reads the manual before assembling. So, even though I would love nothing more than to be surrounded by these little creatures for the rest of my life, I am not jumping into the huge responsibility of breeding them until I am sure that is what I want to do. Until then, each one I do acquire, whether or not it becomes a champion in the show ring, will become a permanent part of my life (and most likely end up spoiled rotten).

Over the years, I have owned and loved several dogs, both purebred and mixed breed. (Take a look at our gang.) I feel that is is extremely important for an owner to learn about and understand the characteristics of their pets. Twenty-some years ago when my husband and I decided it was time for our young family to have a pet it took us six months to find the right one. That was Nicco, our Golden Retriever. The internet wasn't around back then and all I can remember is that I spent a lot of time on the phone talking with different breeders. Nicco ended up being the perfect pet and companion for our family.
